What is NeoCov?
While the cases related to coronavirus Omicron variant of coronavirus are decreasing, however, another variant has caused concern. It is known as the NeoCov version of Covid is believed to have a fatality. Researchers who hail from Wuhan, China, have expressed their concern about this NeoCoV Covid variant, Covid could be more dangerous than the other variants.
The new strain, dubbed NeoCov is very dangerous. This is because the coronavirus has struck the entire world. Researchers say this latest coronavirus can be very infectious and one in three patients dies from it. The World Health Organization has said that NeoCov coronavirus reported to be present within bats from South Africa is a human health risk. This needs further research.
The WHO is aware of the latest discovery made by Wuhan researchers and is in touch with the World Organization for Animal Health as well as also known as the Food and Agriculture Organization for their responses. Wild animals are the cause of over 75% of all new infections in humans.
Coronaviruses are commonly present in animals, such as bats, which have been recognized to be natural reservoirs. NeoCov coronavirus is believed to be present within bats from South Africa.

What are the symptoms?
It is however not a completely new version. The MERS-CoV virus has a lot in common with SARS-CoV-2, in terms of symptoms like cough, fever, and breath shortness.
